Our Initiatives
As a guest, it is easy to make smart environmental choices when you dine at a Sodexo Café. We know today's college student wants to do the right thing for the planet and we also understand you lead busy lives, so your Sodexo Chefs and Managers do a lot of the work for your behind the scenes!
Recycling & Composting
On campus we recycle the following products: cardboard, glass, paper, and plastic. We use all Bio-degradable To-Go utensils and containers.
We also work with our Agriculture Department to give all food waste to them for Composting.
Local Suppliers
We purchase local produce whenever possible. We work closely with local produce distributors to maximize the fruits and vegetables purchased from local farms.
Xprss Nap
Xpressnap Dispensers save energy and waste. The napkins are made 100% recycled paper and the dispenser will encourage customers to take (and waste) fewer napkinds. Energy is saved because less power is used to recycle paper products than to create them from virgin material.
Reusable Dishware
Choose to Reuse is a reusable container program designed to reduce waste and help achieve Sodexo's Better Tomorrow commitments by replacing singe-use disposable food and beverage containers with reusable containers. For more information or use of the Container program, please contact our Manager.
